Agile Vitals

Why we score five vital signs, not one

Most team-health tools measure one dimension. Retro tools ask how people feel. Engineering dashboards count how fast tickets move. Both are useful, and both miss the connection between them.

A team that ships fast with no definition of done is borrowing against next quarter. A happy team that never delivers what it planned will lose its stakeholders. A predictable team that's burning out won't stay predictable for long.

That's why Agile Vitals scores five vital signs together: flow, quality, predictability, team morale, and stakeholder trust. When one is low, it usually explains another. Low predictability is often a work-in-progress problem in disguise. Low stakeholder trust is often a demo problem.

Start with your weakest score. Fix one thing for two weeks. Then measure again.
